about

Frank J Guzman is a self-taught mixed-media artist from Miami, Florida, working in film, music, and graphic design. His work, while varied in form, is always driven by imagination and creativity, and by the meeting of the fantastical and the grotesque.

Best known as DJ Woozles, he moves freely across musical eras and genres. Over the past twenty years he has performed throughout Miami’s art community, including The Bass Museum of Art, The Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, Pérez Art Museum Miami, and in support of Animal Collective at Grand Central Miami (2014).

In 2015, Jolt Radio produced Sound Waves, a music television pilot co-written and directed by Guzman, in which he also plays a carnivorous plant alongside Mr. Jolt, owner of the infamous Miami radio station. Later that year, he and local multi-instrumentalist Rick Fantasies formed Audrey Horny, an experimental electronic-pop project. The duo played III Points festival in 2015 and 2017 and has supported acts including Thurston Moore and Tatsuya Nakatani. They have released three full-length studio albums and three EPs, recorded by Miami legend Rat Bastard, who also recorded Marilyn Manson’s early projects and a host of other Miami heavy hitters.

Guzman is also the owner and lead creative director of Frankleidoscope, a studio in the spirit of ACME or Kirkland: you never quite know what he will put out next. Currently its main focus is a line of window wallpapers, custom roller shades printed with designs that play with light and color. The shades can be seen at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami as well as at the Miami Children’s Museum on Miami Beach.

His latest project is a children’s Halloween book created in collaboration with local artist Panadero. Guzman co-wrote the story and served as colorist. The book will be released at the end of September 2026.
